A Blog In Two Parts (Part One)

This entry will be seperated into two parts, not because it will be particularly long, but rather because it is currently four thirty in the morning and I am very tired.

On to the first bit.

Big stuff happening in the world right now, obviously, but I’ll get to that at the end of this bit.

Let’s get the small bits out of the way first:

I’ve become addicted to Dragon Wars, an application on MySpace. It remains one of the only reasons I still use MySpace, really.

I blame the wife for this.

Not participating in NaNoWriMo because, well, there’s no point. Good luck to those who are, though.

I am writing something, though not a novel. It’s shaping up slowly-but-nicely, I’ll give you all a peek when I feel it deserves it.

And finally:

History was made last night. As millions of Americans tuned in, not knowing what they would see, not knowing how it would all end, plagued by questions and doubt and fear, we saw something that has never been seen before. Something that has forever changed the way we see politics, the way we see our country. Something that has made it so we can proudly say “Yes, I was watching that night”.

I can go to sleep, confident for the first time in a long time, that things are going to change. That the next time I switch on the news, it will be the dawn of a new era. That things will never be the same again.

The event that took place last night is one that we should all take pride in. One that should unite us as a nation and as a people, and one that should make it much easier and much cooler to look to the future.

The event I’m speaking of, of course, is that CNN now has holograms. They’ve taken that first step to a new future, my friends. Can we turn on our televisions to see Anderson Cooper talk to that dude from the Black Eye Peas in a super awesome 3D holographic interview?

YES WE CAN!

Also, some skinny black dude is president now or something, whatever, not as important as the Star Wars like shit going on on CNN.

And with that, I bid you good night (er, morning).
