Right. So, what I’ve done here is, with a bit of jiggering and looky-looing around, I’ve discovered a way to get the nifty little “HTML” tab atop my lil’ window thingy. The problem is, it was the HTML window that was open all along, never the “Visual” one, as I’d had that disabled from the start!
I know, right?
But for some reason it’s posting more than one YouTube video now, as I’ve tested below, however it won’t post anything from Hulu or sites like it with lil’ “Embed on your site!” buttons attached to their wares. Their loss, eh?
Any way, enjoy the three completely random videos I’ve chosen from my YouTube “favorites” list to test this bugger out.
I, for one, am going to sleep now.
I TOLD YOU.
Where’s my thanks?
Pfft.
Thank you for not knowing how to get the HTML tab atop my window and thus my figuring it out for myself. :|
Also, it still doesn’t help in the Vimeo/Hulu/Etc. posting of videos.
But yes, thank you for providing the help you did. <3
Whatever. You wouldn’t have even known to look if I hadn’t told you it existed. I don’t *have* to help you, ya know.
I did figure out vimeo. You have to go into the HTML and put in the following code:
Vimeo-link is the actual URL in the address bar like this: http://thespout.wordpress.com/2009/03/21/vimeo/
See?
http://thespout.wordpress.com/2009/03/21/vimeo/
Hulu is still a mystery. It has something to do with the player they use and how it works with the css of the blog interface. It’s essentially stripping out the embed code when posted.
I was using the HTML editor the whole time, though! I didn’t have to look at all, anyway. But thank you for pointing it out. I just wish that had been the problem. :/
And I’ll try the vimeo bit soon.
Shit I meant the vimeo link should look like this: http://vimeo.com/3622613
