Video Blog #4

April 22, 2009 2 comments

A new take on an old video blog.

And by that, I mean I filmed myself rambling outside for twenty-something minutes, edited out all the boring shit (shut up), and pieced together the highlights.

Still choppy, will still probably look weird, but it’s one more step on my journey of figuring out how the hell to film/edit stuff correctly.

It’s like you’re with me every step of the way, from my first awkward video blog, to my eventual Oscar winning masterpiece.

Only it’s nothing like that at all. In fact, it’s really just you watching me fumble through technology what’s alien to me and get really really happy when I don’t blow something up.

Edited To Add: The credits at the end are stupid and too blurry to read anyway, please ignore.

I’ll make a pretty video someday.

Also, squirrels:

^The Victim^

^The Murdering Thief^

HAVE AT IT.

A Journey to Wal-Mart

April 19, 2009 4 comments

Took a trip to Wal-Mart, decided to bring the video camera along.

Still figuring out the editing software, this being the first video I’ve made out of pieced together bits. Hence the jumping around.

More entertaining stuff on the way, I promise.

Danielle makes an appearance in this one, and we mention both Jen (Faula) and Dustin (who gets a public service announcement from Danielle).

The Who (the hell is Rory Cochrane?)

Attempting a few things with this video, don’t mind me.

Attempt number one: Testing a new format, so maybe it won’t be quite so blurry.

Attempt number two: Learning new(ish) editing software, still getting the hang of things.

Attempt number three: Actually doing something with the fuckload of footage I filmed last year at random points.

Stay with me, I promise once I get the hang of all this nonsense, really fun videos will follow.

(it’s no less blurry, and it may be too short a video to test the whole “audio not synching with the video” problem, so I’ll make a few more attempts in the near future.)
